Run the room.
Apply to chair a committee at BEIMUN 2027. You'll shape the academic agenda, write the background guide, and lead debate for a room of delegates.
What it takes to chair.
You'll write the background guide delegates spend weeks reading. Every claim needs to hold up. We expect research depth and clarity in equal measure.
Running a room of 30–50 delegates mid-debate is a skill. We look for people who stay calm when procedure breaks down and who can read a room quickly.
The best chairs are the ones delegates forget about, because the committee ran itself. Impartiality and consistency matter more than personality.
