What does diplomacy mean at a Model UN conference?

Diplomacy is the practice of resolving conflict through negotiation rather than force. At BEIMUN ’26, delegates put that skill into practice: they represent a country or role, defend a position they may not personally hold, build coalitions with rivals, and draft resolutions that the room can actually pass. It is the same work real diplomats do — compressed into two days and seven committees.
